QOTD

Do you ever take your e-ring (and/or wedding band) off?

I take mine off all the time. I don't sleep with it and I will also take it off to do the dishes, cook, clean, etc.

I work at home so sometimes I won't even put it on if I don't go out.

I am trying my best to take really good care of it because it is a family heirloom. :)

I only take it off to clean it, then I put it right back on. It is a little smaller than what I normally wear, so it won't come off when I'm in the water or when I am cold or dehydrated.  Maybe its cause I haven't had it that long (less than a year), but I am so paranoid of losing it.  I have weekly nightmares about it getting stolen or lost or the diamond falling out!

NEVER, unless I'm going to clean it. I would be devastated if I'd lost it by forgetting it somewhere!

Yeah, like Mellie, I take mine off every night.  I didn't at the beginning, but my band is thick and my finger started chafing.  Now I just take it off every night with my other rings and put them in the same place every time!

I have to take my e-ring off for clinical and I don't usually wear it to workout.  I take my band off when I workout and it's arms day because the weights smash up against my ring.

I usually take my rings off to do the dishes but I learned my lesson the other day because I took my rings off over the sink and my band fell into the garbage disposal!  I was lucky enough to be able to get it out but I was seriously freaking out for the full minute it took me to retrieve it.  NEVER TAKE YOUR RINGS OFF OVER A SINK!

    Awe, Jagore...

I'm so glad you didn't lose/ruin your band!  Yeah, I would be VERY careful taking them off near a sink.  That's why I don't even leave them in the bathroom... I take them off and put them on this tray we have in the living room!

I take mine off to shower and sometimes when cooking/baking [if it's going to get all over the ring.]

Only when I shower. Or lift weights. I keep them on when I sleep because with my setting, the stone won't come loose! We have a ring dish on DH's dresser where we put them. DH only takes his off when he does dishes and showers.

I take mine off to sleep, shower, clean/do yardwork, go to the beach or swim, and work out.

I used to sleep in it, but lost a diamond a few weeks ago and they recommended that people not sleep with it on so I've heeded that caution.  It made me so angry too because I had JUST taken it to be inspected...guess the lame employee didn't know what the heck she was doing :(

I take mine off when I do the dishes, half of the time when I shower, when I go to the gym, when I get a massage, and when I'm putting on lotion. Oh, and like CFar said, when cooking/baking with something that'll get all over it likes mixing up ground meats with my hands or kneading doughs.

Jagore, that must have been freaky! When I'm working in the kitchen and need to take it off, I ALWAYS do it in the living room and leave it on the coffee table. I have this fear or leaving it on the counter and somehow still finding a way of knocking it into the sink.

I take mine off when I shower, when I'm doing my hair, if I'm going to be getting my hands dirty while cooking and when I groom dogs.
