Post baby sex question

Is it still difficult even when you had a c-section?

I had vaginal, and it is still not the most comfortable thing. Lube and patience are key.

It was for me.  While I was feeling much better at that point, I was still tender and things had to be very slow and gentle.

Things are fine now and have been back to normal since about 3-6 months after DD was born, but the beginning was rough.

Post c-section I didn't/couldn't tolerate any presure or movement of my stomach so that took out many positions. I didn't enjoy sex for months just because I was tired and would have rather been with my baby.  That cleared up by the time he was 5 months old.

Yeah. Mostly because it happens(ed) so rarely, I guess.  I mean, going at it again after a six week drought is going to hurt.

I still find myself rather dry, but then again I'm back on the Nuvaring, and I think hormonal BC has a lot to do with it.

It's still a little uncomfortable. But we've only had sex 4 times since M was born so it could just be the long in between periods.

i went through the labor to 9-10cm then had an emergency c/s - it was painful at first, even with added lube. By about 4 months postpartum, I was feeling back to normal, and maybe slightly tighter. I had my mirena back in 6 weeks postpartum and haven't had a period yet, so take that for what it's worth.

Ethan is 7 months and even though I had no tearing or stitches (TMI AHEAD) there is still one spot that *something* must have happened because for the first 10 minutes at least (even with lube and being gentle) it still hurts.

I had awesome sex the first time post-baby. No pain, no problems with lube, and it felt awesome, because it had been like 3 months at that point. Not being nauseated or having a parasite in me helped, too.

But from what I understand, I'm an anomaly.

Maybe. I mean, yes, my vulva is pretty squishy, but I don't know that that would change the insides or the biology much.

I think I just had a different experience, and was so thrilled to have my very own body back and not aching and not protruding inconveniently (we seriously couldn't have sex for the last two months, because I was just too big in the belly) that I wanted to do something *really fun* with it ASAP.

It helped that Bacon was a good baby, too, and that I got a fair amount of sleep by about week 2, once my anxiety settled. I got lucky.
