items on Macys.com restricted from registry?

I finally found a china pattern I like.  When I went to add it to my Macy's registry online, I get a message that says:

"We're sorry.  10 items have not been added to your registry because these are unavailable for purchase on Macy's Wedding Registry."

Why would fine china be unavailable to purchase on macy's wedding registry?  It did this to me for a bedding set as well.  Anyone know what the deal is?  It's very frustrating.  I've never had an issue adding to Macy's online registry before this. Thanks!

    I never got this error with my own registry, but the only thing I can think of is that perhaps these items are being discontinued/phased out.

    I think your best option is to call or visit your local Macy's, and see if they can assist you.

    They do that for clearance items and discontiued items. A consultant can add any items on for you, and you can even do it online by "chatting" with a customer service person and giving them the product numbers of the items you want to add. ( i know this because i did it myself! )

    As the above said, it could be discontinued. When we registered in a JC Penney store it did not allow us to add discontinued items even though they still had some in the store.
