shoes recs?

I'm only 5"3, on a good day.  I haven't had my first fitting yet but i know that my dress needs to be hemmed with being so short and knowing how long it was on me when i tried it on in the store.

I would like some height, but also comfort.
  I will probably wear flip flops for comfort and ease of dancing at some point, but the longer i can wear them, the better as it will probably be harder to wear again.

Any suggestions for places to get nice, but comfy shoes?

    I will be ordering online from either endless.com or zappos.com as they do free shipping and free return shipping for any returns. And you have 365 days to return. I can order a few different ones to test the comfort and mail the rest back without driving all over town.

    Definitely browse Zappos.

    I ordered several pairs to try out and sent back the ones I didn't like.  I ended up with a pair by Nina.  They had a 3 3/4 inch heel but were actually really comfortable.  I didn't even realize until the night was almost over that I hadn't changed into my backup shoes.

    I'm less than 5'2" and got my shoes at DSW.  They are Caparros.  I wore them the entire day/night.  No problem whatsoever and I usually wear sneakers as I have danced my whole life and my feet and knees suck.   Since I don't like fancy shoes, I preferred to shop around in store and try things on versus buying online.

    I didn't go through zappos, because I found a really great deal on my shoes.  But like dipsontop, I got Nina shoes and they are amazing!!  I cannot wait to wear them :)
