Portland/Salem Photographer for under $1,000

Anyone have any recommendations for a photographer in the Portland/Salem area?  We'd like about 6 hours of coverage on Sunday, Sept 2, 2012 and all unbranded, non-watermarked photos in raw format with full printing rights.  We don't require print outs. We'd like to spend no more than $1,000.

Thank you.

My daughter used brianfoulks.com last October.  His website is outdated but the prices are current.  He took over 1000 photos and we had full release rights.

Here is my facebook link to some of the photos:

Thanks thecatergator.  The link to his website isn't working for me.  There's a brianfoulks.org but that doesn't look like a photographer's website.

You'll be hard-pressed to find a good photographer in that price range unless they are just starting out. Most wedding photographers need to charge more to make a decent living. If you think about all that goes into running a business like that, you'll understand. The photographer not only spends hours on your special day, making memories that last a lifetime, but they also spend hours editing, driving to and from your venue, paying business tax, licensing tax to use music on their website, design costs for their branding, cameras and lenses and insurance for those, etc. If you find someone who is in your price range make sure you look at a lot of their photos and like what you see. Meet with them and see if their personality matches yours.

We used Craig Mitchelldyer and still love the photos to this day. He is also a really nice guy. He charges way more than he did back then but he is really really good. We met with Brian Foulkes but weren't wowed by his photos. Christina Gilchrist was our second choice. She is super nice too. Eric Cable is also great, as are Lauren Brooks and Deyla Huss.

Were you able to find a photographer for your wedding yet?  If you haven't found a photographer yet, please check out my website www.mattesonphotography.com.  I offer a few wedding packages below your $1000 goal.  I do have a full-time job so I don't need to overcharge for photography to make a living.  Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to sit down to schedule a face to face meeting.
    Thanks,
    Mark

You should check out the ThePros. We still have not made a decision but they offer the best package.

Vendors are not allowed to solicit business on this site.  Need to read the posting rules....

ABESPRETTYGIRL: Were you able to track down a photographer? I would love to know who you decided on so I can check them out. I have had a hard time finding a reasonable priced photographer as well. Thanks. :)

We haven't yet decided on THE photographer for our wedding day.  However, we had an engagement shoot with Kacey Baxter (www.acorn-studios.com) last Friday as a test run and just got a peak at our album this evening.  Her prices are within our budget and affordable.  I'll PM you with the password to our album so you can check out our photos.

We are using Nicolle Gonzalez (Sacred Lotus).  We are paying a little more, but are gettingmore so she can probably work with you.  We did our Save the Date photos with her and had a lot of fun.  Here is her portfolio: http://sacredlotus.dphoto.com/

Photographers who charge enough to make a living aren't 'overcharging for photography' , Mr. Vendor Mark, who will be out of business in a year.
