FI and I have our engagement pictures this weekend! I'm so excited, but nervous. Any advice? Our photographers seem kind of serious, I'm afraid it's going to be awkward and not "fun".

    Who is your photographer? Where are you getting them done? It is a little awkward at first, but (our photographer said) 85% of the time you will be looking at your FI so keep it light between the 2 of you and hopefully the photogs will follow!

    Try to have fun! We were nervous too and than H did something that was so him, I can't remember exactly what it was and I busted out laughing which of course he started laughing, those are some of my fav pictures.

    We just had our engagement pictures taken at the water front and they came out amazing(check out the new area that they just developed, theres an amazing bridge and colorful chairs). I brought a bouquet of orange carnations to have something to hold on to or play with or look at. We were even thinking ballon(s)- just simple and one color, an umbrella, the dog! lol. Just something that you can play with which will make it more fun. If you see a spot or a background that you like, stop the photographer and ask for a picture! good luck!
