  Tabard Inn is perfect for that size! Great food, drinks, and in a great part of the city.

  Check out Morrison House in Alexandria!

  They are lovely and can accomodate smaller groups perfectly, versus a large area with few people.  

  Just had my reception there last week and they were amazing.  They made many accomodations and were reasonably priced.  The best part is, I planned from Arizona and everything went off without a hitch!

  It was a bit too small for us - but really beautiful space!  It should work for your guest size.

  I second Maggiano's in Chevy Chase.  They have an event space that's perfect for a group that size, the food is great and so is the service staff.
