need to put "reception to immediately follow" on invite?

We're getting married in New Orleans, so it's kinda a DW & we're getting married in the same place as the reception, with no real time break in between. Do we still need to put reception info on the invite? I already designed them, and there's not anymore room! Any advice would be much appreciated!

    I'd leave a note at the bottom of your invitation.

    What is the wording of your invitation where one line won't fit?  I think you need to begin to edit so that your guests understand the festivities that will be taking place.  That takes priority over a design.

    Well we're having less that 100 people, and they are all close friends and family. We also put our wedding website on the save the dates, and spread it through word of mouth, with has the exact hours. Everyone that knows us knows it will be a big party, so I'm pretty sure no one would be confused...

    I understand, but it's still a detail that should be on the invitation OR on a separate reception card.

    We are also having ours at the same location. We didn't put anything on our invitaions about the reception because we are having a small reception and we've just told everyone it will start right after the ceremony.

    I'm confused why you can't just write "reception".  You're going to be receiving your guests and I assume they're all going to be hosted by you.

    "Merriment and dancing" sounds like you're not planning to feed them.

    Banana is not being serious.  She is right.  You need to include something saying that there will be a reception following the ceremony.  Otherwise people may have questions and then you will have to field 5000 questions that could be avoided by stating "Reception Immediately Following"

    We did not do conventional invitations at all.  Ours were designed like a rock concert poster with a lot of graphics and oversized text.  We still found room to put the reception line on the invite.

    I agree with Banana--I hope you are planning on feeding people.

    One other thing to consider--those invites in your post are pretty main-stream. They are not as far out of the box as you think. 

    If you notice, they put the reception information on their example.

    Just sayin'!!

    Sorry, I expected reasonable people to respond, not you guys.

    Yes, we are having a full sit down meal. So I do plan on feeding people. And Vegas gal, I was being facetious. Thanks for the advice though!

    I see.  We are not reasonable because you wanted validation for what you wanted to do and not what was the proper thing to do.

    Don't bother asking questions on national boards if you don't want to hear an answer that is different from what you already have in your head.

    Holly, relaxxx sista, vsgal and banana are well-respected posters on these boards with reputations of giving sound advice.  They are also completely right in this instance, and they are just trying to spare you confusion and many phone calls from your guests clarifying details.
