Restaurants in Aruba

My FI and I just booked our Aruba Honeymoon.  Where is a place where we can have a romantic dinner either on the beach or overlooking the beach?

Re: Restaurants in Aruba

  • Oh Aruba - I am jealous!

Depends on where you are staying, how far you want to travel (i.e. walk or cab), and your price point.   Honestly, when I planned my Aruba trips I went on TripAdvisor.com and did my research.  They have alot of good info on the restaurants there and I never had a bad dinner the two times I went!

Here are a few places to start::
    Old Man & the Sea
    Flying Fishbone
Madame Jeanettes (not on the water but was really really really good)

  • Passions

    Barefoot

    Flying Fishbone
Though be warned it will take at least a half hour to get to this restaurant and will be about an expensive cab ride each way. This restaurant was also one of the most expensive we went to, and I would say, while it was very good, it's not the best food for the price.

Before we went to Aruba, and while we were there, we consulted this website to help us find restaurants we wanted to go to:

Also, the concierge at your hotel should hopefully be able to help you pick restaurants and to make your reservations for you.

  • Barefoot's food is very good quality, and is just as romantic as Flying Fishbone, without the 50$ cab ride. I also reccommend the "lighthouse" restaurant, which is located on the golf course. I can't remember the name right now. It is SUPREMELY expensive, but nothing is more romantic. It sits on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean, in the shadow of the lighthouse and if you go at sunset, you will never want to leave

  • I second Madame Jeanettes.
Passions I would skip - you're paying for the atmosphere and the food was just OK.
Papillon is amazing as well (not on the beach, but very good food)
  • Thanks guys!  These look amazing!  I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!
  • Did anyone mention The Old Man and The Sea?  The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is unbelievable.  LOVE that place (been there twice).
