Hey everyone.. the board is pretty lite today.. I thought a fun idea would be for everyone to share( gush) over their wedding dresses.. share a picture, the style designer.. whatever!

    I'm going shopping for the first time this Saturday!! I am so excited. I have appointments at The White Orchid (I love Maggie Sottero) in the morning and the Exquisite Bride (Gibsonia) in the afternoon.

    I may be getting ahead of myself, but maybe not....I found a sash that absolutely, positively love. I actually already bought it and am taking it dress shopping with me. If I can find a dress that works with it, great! I like the dress that's in the picture, totally my style. But I'm not going to not try on other dresses that might not work with the sash. And I'd wear it for my reception only, I think it's a little too much for the ceremony. I just couldn't pass it up, though. What do you think?

    My first fitting is next week....woo-hoo!!!

    My dress is Maggie Sottero Summer.  I absolutely LOVE it and can't wait to wear it in 2 weeks!!!

    Unfortunately I can't seem to get my mom or sister to send me the most recent pictures from my final dress fitting, so these are when I picked it out.  It was the 4th dress I tried and I knew it was "the one" :)

    Allure Bridal-Purchased from pinkribbonbridal.com's e-bay store...full ballgown with glitter skirt and lace bodice.  All packaged in a twin comforter sized bag.  Sixth dress I tried on, immediately saw myself walking down the aisle in it.

    My dress is from Eugenia Couture.  It was actually the 1st dress I tried on!  I tried on several other dresses during the appt but I just knew it was the 1...& it is totally different than what I had expected I would pick outLaughing

    here's mine - it's by liv harris, i think she's a local boston designer.  I like it b/c its pretty, fits nicely, and I don't think I've ever seen one like it on another bride!  It was my 9th or 10th dress- and the last one - that I tried on

    Miss Tat- I love that dress.. Especially with the pearls! Brit- I am thinking of doing something similar with a belt only mine will be a sparkly belt. I looove your belt. The colors are awesome. I personally don’t think it is too much for church.. I think you could wear it the whole time. If those are your colors that will be a great tie in. GL dress shopping!! Janiceb2010 – gorgeous dress!  Have fun at your first fitting!!  carlyanne05 – Two weeks! Wow ! Your dress looks great on you!   I love the one shoulder . I am also a BIG fan of Maggie Sottero. milichal – I love the ball gown also! That’s the way I think I’m leaning.. It’s just so hard to decide! cas4atpitt – I love the neckline! Very unique and just beautiful.

    Beautiful dresses ladies :)  Briit...you should have a good time at the White Orchid :)  I went there too because of the Maggie Dresses, I've been there twice so far.  Not pics of my dress because I didn't purchase yet but so far I'm ready to purchase Doreen by maggie sottero!  However, I still want to try on Paigely by Maggie first and that will be the last dress I try on.  Then time to make a final decision.  When the "one " is picked...then I will throw up some pics ;)

    My dress is Anita by Sottero & Midgley!  I think it was about the 10th dress I tried on (I originally thought I wanted lace...), but I immediately knew it was the one!

    My dress is an alfred angelo dress! its style 2117! It's actually the second dress I bought and I was fortunate enough to exchange the first one!! I feel like I jumped on the first one too fast because I was excited to pick a dress!! But when I saw my new dress and tried it on it was more me and now I can't wait to wear it!!!!!!

    This is my gown from Koda Bridal in Mt. Lebo. Its an Aalia couture made of
    dupioni silk and yes i am wearing red!!!

    My gown is by Essence of Australia. Second dress I tried on :-) Made with silk satinm chiffon, and swarvoski (sp?) crystals. I love it and it looked better when I tried on on Saturday since the pic below was just the sample gown at the store. I'll start alterations as soon as I have some shoes.
