Did anyone choose Anna Kim as the wedding photographer?

So .. I'm getting close on signing a contract with Anna Kim as my wedding photographer!!  Before I do that ... just curious if anyone had work with her?  What was your experience?  Would love to hear negative and positive comments!  Thanks everyone!

Oh .. and one more question ... do you think 6 hours of coverage time would be enough?  I only have 25-30 guests for the wedding ... small and intimate wedding that's what we are aiming for.

Sorry to say I have yet to work with her.  But I have head such great things about her and I like her work.

I booked her for June and will post reviews!

Of note, we did already have one very major problem with her services. We were all set to book our date in June, and she sent us the contract. However, since we had to print it out and both of us were supposed to sign and send it back by snail mail, we ended up not mailing it to her for a couple of weeks. In the meantime, because she hadn't received the contract, Anna had already booked another event on our wedding day!

Needless to say, it was shocking. I have no idea why she didn't call me or email me (we had already exchanged multiple emails and even met in person). We ended up booking with her, anyway, because she gave us an extra hour of photography, but we are relegated to have one of her assistants shoot our wedding. We'll see how it turns out!

I'm sure you were shocked when she booked someone else's wedding, but you have to put yourself in her place.  If you had a finite amount of weddings you could book, and someone didn't send back the confirmation within a short period of time, you would assume they decided not to use your services.  What you might have done was let her know as soon as you received the paperwork, and let her know you would be sending it back by such and such a date.  Once a date is booked and the deposit is paid, that date and time is yours.  I would take heart that she is sending someone she believes in to cover your wedding for you, after all, it is her reputation and she wouldn't send someone unless she knew them to be qualified.  I don't know her, but if I were you I wouldn't worry.  Hope you have a wonderful wedding!

My fiance and I are also very interested in having Anna as our photographer. Similarly we're having about 30 guests and we're also wondering how many hours of photography we'll need.

For those of you who have booked her, how many hours did you decide upon?

I initially chose 4 hours but ended up having to extend coverage by another two hours. It was hard to gage how much time was actually needed when we were planning.

I'm going with Anna Kim. She always responds to my emails when I need advice, and she is really sweet... not to mention her photography is stunning!
