Could I please have some prayers?

I'm sorry to ask for this, because I've seen this a lot on other boards, and it's usually "My cousin's aunt's grandmother three times removed has a dog with a broken toenail, can y'all please pray?" as opposed to something truly important, LOL.

I've been feeling really sick and exhausted lately. I finally went to the doctor, and to make a long story short, while there's a good chance I may have mono, there's an even bigger chance that I have Lupus. I have nearly every single one of the symptoms, risk factors, and two "triggering" events.

So if y'all wouldn't mind saying a little prayer that I "only" have mono and not Lupus, I would really appreciate it. Lupus would be really devastating in many ways and I am hoping and praying I don't have it.

Thank you. :) I will try to come around and catch up on posts soon, I'm a little swamped with work.

I'm going whole hog...I hope it's just exhaustion from all the stress you've  been under, or maybe a little need for iron. At any rate, prayers going up...

Yes, it's sad that mono is the attractive alternative, right?

Thanks so much for the prayers ladies, I really appreciate them.

While the stress doesn't help, I don't think that's it. The iron is a real issue, and mine probably is low. Last year I had a normal hemoglobin, but my iron was so low I almost didn't have any (less than 10, normal is a minimum of 50). When I started feeling bad I began taking an iron supplement, but unlike last time, it has not helped one tiny bit. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cry.gif" border="0" alt="Cry" title="Cry" /> The fact that the iron isn't helping is what sent me to the doctor.

Make sure they check all your CBCs from the past. They said this to me and it was just my "normal" levels were out of the average "normal" for regular people. It scared the crap out of me too! I pray it's only mono and you recover soon.

So to update everyone - I got my preliminary test results back. While I did show being positive for mono, it appears that I do not have an active case at the moment. All the rest of my bloodwork looks completely normal, which is odd and puzzling. So I am going back tomorrow morning to have an additional panel of bloodwork done to test me for Lupus. It should take about a week to get those results back. I am also getting an abdominal ultrasound to check out my spleen, since I'm having a lot of pain in that area.

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to have an illness. But it's frustrating to know that what I'm feeling is real and not in my head, but there doesn't seem to be an answer as to *why*. I'm afraid that my doctor is going to think I'm a hypochondriac.
