I don't get why they're having a shower if they just want money. The point of a shower is to "Shower" the Bride with gifts. Or are you expected to bring a regular gift and put money in the "wishing well" also? So tacky.

O my goodness, and a horribly written poem to top it off. I cannot believe people actually think that is ok! How embarrassing for her. Ew. I hope that wishing well is completely empty at her shower. I'd drop a note n there letting her know how awful you think that practice is.

Oh god.

This is right up there with the shower invite that I got. Clipped on top was a note from the bride and groom with our parents paid for our wedding and all we really want now is a awesome honeymoon. So please bring to the shower a check made out to us with the note "have an awesome honeymoon" in the note section. Love bride & groom.

I understand people may have all the things they need and just want a great honeymoon but flat out putting a note in the invite and SAYING it is really just...wow. I normally don't have problems with honeymoon registries and things like that (provided they have other traditional registry options) because normally the B&G aren't outright asking you like this person is and you can choose to not gift them that and give them something off the traditional registry instead. But this note just comes off like a desperate hobo that needs money. Haha.

Even if you want honeymoon theres a mildely less tacky way to do it through honeyfund.com. But to ask for cash is wrong everyone wants cash you dont need to advertise it.
