need to find a good bakery that is not over priced.

    This is not enough information. What is "overpriced" to you? How important is a nice cake to you?

    If you're looking for really cheap, I hear Walmart, Bashas, Safeway, etc do nice cakes.

    I have had a few friends who have gone with a bakery for a "cutting" cake (small and not very expensive) then bought sheet cakes from Costco or Safeway (both have really yummy cake!) to have in the back to cut and serve people.  You would never know the difference!

    Check out Exclusive Cakes in Mesa, They are having a promotion $3.60 per person plus free delivery and set up. Tell them Anny and Brian who just ordered their cake two weeks ago told you! :)

    We are using Sugarlips Cakery on Guadalupe and Dobson. We have ordered many cakes and cupcakes from them and go there regularly to get cupcakes from their display case. Cupcakes start at 2.50 a piece prices vary based on flavors and decorations. Wedding cakes are 3 to 4 a slice, depending on buttercream or fondant. They are very creative and will work with any ideas you have. They never dissapoint us.

    We used a lady named Amanda @ The Cake Baketress

    We just had a small sweetheart cake for cutting because we had mini bundtcakes (bundtinis) as our dessert (along with cake pops during the cocktail hour).  You can see a pic of our cake on her blog here:  http://cakebaketress.blogspot.com/2012/04/sweetheart-wedding-cake.html

    We had Red Velvet flavor and it was great!  Her price was super reasonable.

    We are going through baybeecakes.net we are getting a small cutting cake for us and sheet cakes for the guests as this will fit our budget. She quoted us $65 for a simple yet elegant 2 tier cake. She is in Queen Creek but we found her in Arizona Bride Magazine. She is great at what she does.
