Anyone have their reception or been to one at Columbus Museum of Art?

it is one of my dream venues and i've been to a few cocktail-style events there. with the new design of the derby court, i bet it's more beautiful than ever. the cons are that the rental fee is by the hour and is very very high. additionally, they have a consumption only bar which adds up very quickly. pros--it's gorgeous, your guests have something amazing to do during cocktails because the whole museum is yours, they are flexible to an extent about your choice in caterer, ample parking, etc. i hope you are able to do it! good luck.

    Con-
They forgot about our appointment when my parents drove here to check out some venues.  Also, the Court, as far as I know, isn't done yet and who knows when it will be since  you can never tell with construction projects.

I went to a wedding there two years ago. It was fun to be able to walk around but if you have it there, make sure that you clearly explain to your guests somehow that they are allowed to wander. We felt like we were trespassing a little. Also, we were left standing while they set up the food for quite a long time, although I am not sure how much of that was their fault. We could have really used a few places to sit while we waited. Overall I enjoyed it and it was definitely different.
