Monday Morning

Good morning, ladies. How was everyone's weekend?

We got a huge check done this weekend when I ordered all of the dresses for the bridal party (all 10 of them). The woman at the store gave me a GREAT deal, so I pulled the trigger. So happy to have that task completed.

I bought my dress, shoes, jewlery, and wedding band!! I got SO much accomplished this weekend. FI also got a new tie, since I got a sash for my dress, he needed to new tie because the old one didn't match at all. We didn't plan on getting a sash but it looked so good with one!

I got wedding tuxes done with a great coupon to Mens Wearhouse. I already went there, picked them out, realized I messed up and changed them all. But now I'm happy!

We moved.  Well, started anyway.  Our bathroom is set up.  Our kitchen is nearly there.  Our bedroom is *almost* done.  We still have the guest room/office to do (right now it's filled with boxes), and we have to finish the living room.  We'll get there eventually.

My grandmother found a flower girl dress at TJ Maxx this weekend for $25.  My aunt and I are going to look at it this week to make sure it works, but my grandmother has never really gone wrong in the past (and who can really beat $25?).  It's white and chiffon and I was told we could add a navy sash.

We decided that we're going to use sand dollars for our escort cards.  We picked up a bunch at the Christmas Tree Shop so I can start playing around with markers.  Next I'll be looking for a way to display them so that everyone can find theirs.

We got nothing accomplished :( We hung out with friends Friday night and FI was supposed to ask the husband to be a groomsman, but didn't so now is saying he will text him. That means he isn't able to ask him about the suit issue and we can't go and set up the suits at Men's Warehouse. The 50% coupon expires soon and I don't want to miss using it. We did play cards against humanity for the first time and it was hilarious, I definitely recommend.

Saturday we went to Cocoa and stopped by a florist and Publix to get ideas. Neither one was able to help us. The florist we stopped by was only a second location and no one was able to discuss anything with us. The cake decorator at Publix had just left before we got there so that was a bust as well. We had dinner at a possible rehearsal location and while the steak was good everything else was average, so we are going to keep looking.

The only thing we got partially accomplished was picking what resort we are going to for the honeymoon. We are waiting a few days to book since the company sends out deals once a week and we want to see what it is this week.

We did nothing haha!  Fi went to work and I hung out with the little guy, cleaned the house and visited my parents.  I worked hard all morning, so I will devoote the afternoon to finding fonts for the guys' beer mugs, for the mom's wine glasses and the dads' pilsner glasses.

I got to spend time with the girls yesterday after being sick most of the weekend.  It was good quality time and was just what I needed.

Then we went and picked up these two old doors I found online for sale for $40.  I'm completely in love with them.  They're perfection.  There are sooo many things to do with old doors but the fact that they are 12' feet tall I'm leaning towards keeping them to make a king size headboard out of them.   I'm a upcycle junkie.  I can't help it.  But for the wedding I haven't decided to build a frame where we can walk through them in the field or whether to just use them as decor within the reception (which is in a barn).   Regardless, I'm super excited.

Due to me being sick and then running around yesterday, I didn't get jack done at home.  My house looks like the pits of Hell.  It needs a seriously good cleaning.

My Mom and I met with the wedding coordinator at our site and we got a lot done.  We:
    - Picked our linen and napkin colors
    - Finalized the menu
    - Picked a wedding site and backup site on the property
    - Did a rough outline of the wedding timeline
    - Ran through a quick list of who will be staying at the inn and figured out who will pay for what.

Whew!  Since I'm on stay-cation this week, I hope to get a few more wedding things sorted out before I go back to work, like getting hotel blocks settled, finalizing the wedding cake, adding songs to our DJ planner, and locking down an alcohol supplier.

Should be a fun week :)
