My Mom recently passed away....

I am trying to figure out a way to incorporate my Mom in my wedding...I was thinking of carrying her photo in a frame (small) in my flowers, or having her photo be in the seat that she would have sat in up front. Nothing for others to really see but something I would know is there. Any other suggestions?

My cousin will most likely be holding our wedding therefore I anticipate he may say something in reference to how happy she would be today to see me marry the man she so adored but.....

just curious if others have done anything?

Thank you,

Re: My Mom recently passed away....

  • My mom also passed away~not having her here through my wedding preparations has been very painful.I ordered a memory vase and candle.I'm having white roses placed in the vase. Not just for my mom but also for other very close loved ones no longer with us (my dad, grandmom, fiance's father).1 rose to represent each of our closest loved ones. These will be placed tastefully with our guest book.We will not be placing pictures(we did consider this however I felt like it would look more like a funeral then a wedding). We will use a very tiny tag and place the loved ones name on it~we will attach this tag to each rose stem placed in the vase to respectfully remember our loved ones.I miss my mom terribly, she was my very best friend. My mom,ant and grandmother (all of whom have passed away) were Elvis fans so we will have an Elvis song played as well.We did not want to overdo it however I could not get through this day without including very closest loveds ones that we have lost.
  • My mom passed also. I am wearing a braclet with a locket with her photo in it, I'll be wearing some of her favorite jewelry pieces and we are going to have a candle for all our family and friends we have lost. We will light it before a prayer is spoke honoring those people.
