Up North Venues: Mackinac Historic State Parks

Keep these in mind when considering venues. http://www.mackinacparks.com/weddings/index.aspx My fiance and I have been talking tonight and I think we are going to book Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse for our small wedding on 9/24/2012. We love the Great Lakes and this lighthouse is right on the shore of Lake Huron and the Mackinac Bridge is right there. I'm going to call the consultant tomorrow with some questions, but I think we've found our venue.

    9/24/2012. The fall colors should be beautiful. I found out from the state park wedding consultant (included in the $500 dollar fee) that they will also hold an old mission church about 400 yards away in case of rain - no charge! And I love that the money we are paying for the venue will go to benefit the parks, not some for - profit business.
