Are you having a F/D dance song?

What song are you dancing with your Dad or Step Dad, etc??

My dad and I are emotional when it comes to the wedding, so I found the song daughter by Loudon Wainwright III ... I LOVE LOVE LOVE it....

not something either of us will cry at, and a little upbeat.

ideas? thoughts?

I think we're going to dance to Van Morrison's Into the Mystic. We probably won't cry--neither of us are particularly emotional people.

We are dancing to "I Loved Her First" by Heartland. Its perfect for us because we have a very close and loving relationship and when he met my FI he knew he was the one for me!

My dad and I are both very emotional people, and I know that we would both be hysterical if I chose a slow, sappy song. I chose "Whenever I See Your Smiling Face" by James Taylor because we both love James Taylor, and my dad used to sing JT songs to me when I was a baby.

My dad and i dont have a really emotional relationship. The only time i really talk to my dad is when i am at my parents house and we talk about work or if i got an oil change on my car- and how much gas costs. lol
or when i call to talk to my mom its usually a "hi how are you?"

Because well. my dad NEVER tells me he loves me so i think its appropiate and also- van morrison is his all time favorite.

My dad and I are dancing to the Krakowiak Polka. Growing up we always danced the polka together at functions, so it is kind of like "our dance." We also have ties to Krakow, Poland because we traveled there as a family in 2005 and I studied abroad there in college.

We haven't chosen yet, but what I did was chose songs I liked and I'm letting Dad choose

HIs options:
1) Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman
2) Daddy's Angel by T Carter Music
3) My Little Girl by Tim McGraw

We are also debating doing a "rock the reception" father/daughter dance where halfway through the song we just break out into other dances, and then we end with the original song
