Officient Question

So my brother-in-law has offered to be the officient at our wedding.  He is a youth pastor in Georgia and will be doing his sister's wedding next month.  What I am wondering is, are there any differing laws or rules from state to state?  Is there any special paperwork that we will need to file? Sorry, but I really have no clue how all the paperwork portion of all this works!  TIA :)

My uncle is a pastor from South Carolina, and all he had to do was file his credentials with the county in which we got our marriage license (in my case, Hennepin.) Basically, he just had to give them either a certificate of ordination or a letter from a high-ranking official from his church certifying that he was an ordained minister.

There's like a $5 filing fee, and they can literally apply the day before the wedding if they need to.

Our already-ordained-online officiant just had to file in Hennepin County, but if I remember correctly, he had to do it a few days in advance, and in person.
