Favors /Photobooth vs. candy /

Hello Ladies,

I truly love the knot and 99% of my planning was due to these boards! My name is Christine. Just got engaged over Thanksgiving (After a  Harry Potter movie..yes I am a dork).  Frank and I are paying for our own wedding and I was thinking about favors.

I am booking a photobooth and they offered free frames that they can leave either in front of the booth or at the table. How and where they will go on the tables is a little worrying. They are 2 by 6 acryilic frames.

Do you think people still want something sweet for the ride home or is a photo and frame  enough? Don't people want candy? AUGH

Help.
Christine

I think the idea of the photobooth is a great idea for favors and there's no need to add candy or anything else.  I would leave the frames at the photobooth and let the guests take them from there.

We're doing a photobooth. They've been a big hit at every wedding I've been to that had them and everyone takes their pictures home. Candy is kind of blah to me. If I want candy, I can always go to the store to get some, so it doesn't seem that special to me. Plus it's less work for me. I don't want to take the time to put together a bunch of favors just so people can leave them at the table.

One of my daughter's initial ideas with her photobooth was to have the frames double as her escort cards.  Guests would pick up their frame at the start of the reception --  finding it by looking for their name and table number printed on cardstock and slipped into the frame.  A small note would also encourage them to "take their best shot" at the photobooth!

We are planning to do a photobooth.  I think the photobooth will be enough. You can leave the frames at the booth.  Candy is overrated.  Your guest will have a blast with the photobooth.

I would like to do a photo booth, but not sure if we can fit it into our budget- we are waiting on the quotes from our florist and caterer (who are both friends of ours)....

But even if we have a photo booth, we will also be giving away (home made) cookies as a favor (it fits into our theme)... the photobooth was actually my idea for the guestbook. It would be a scrap book and I would have double sided tape laid out with various colors of pens.... the photo would go into the scrapbook and then they could write a note!

We're having a photobooth (no frames) and are also having chocolate covered oreos as a favor (DIY).  I think a photobooth is a great favor by itself.  If you want to add some sort of edible favor and it's in your budget then I say go for it.  You can never go wrong with candy!  I would leave the frames at the photobooth table for guests to take (not everyone might want a frame).
