Day of coordinator

Does anyone know of a good (and affordable) day of coordinator?  My fiance and I are getting married at the Crown Ballroom downtown, and are using their ballroom for the ceremony and the reception.  Guests go into another room for cocktail hour while the "flip" happens.  Problem is, we only have 45 mins to do the flip and change the decor.

Does anyone have a similar situation and have any recommendations?

Thanks for all of your help ladies!

I don't really want to make a friend work at the wedding, but if thats the way it goes, so be it.  I would be okay be a DOC swap though.  I think that is a great idea!

I am getting married October 8, 2011 and I've been working with Femi Wills from Elegance Event Planning. She's been fantastic and her pricing is EXCELLENT!

There are a number of experienced day-of coordinators around with reasonable fees.

    Muse
    Ooh La La Events
    Champagne Events

I don't recommend a friend or a swap.  I was a guest at a wedding recently where this was the case and the person who was acting as coordinator panicked when there was a mishap with the officiant and the wedding was really late.  An experienced person could have called another officiant and avoided making the guests wait forever and the bride panic.

I'm getting married at the Crown in November!!  Great space huh??
I am just using Raven for the coordinating.  I've heard great things about her day-of skills and obviously they know what is supposed to happen and when.

Plus it's free to you!!   Wink

Stampin- it is a wonderful place.  The one thing that I am worried about is the centerpieces.  Will Raven be setting those up for you?  If so, then I can probably stop worrying.

    Hey RachMarie ~

Yes, when your guests go to the cocktail area, they will set up the centerpieces for you.  You just show them a head of time what you want and they take care of everything. Smile
