Unique and Inexpensive Ceremony and Reception Locations in/around Cincinnati

My fiance and I are on a tight budget, and we're exploring our options.  We originally were looking to get married in SE Indiana, but logistically it doesn't look like it's working out the way we planned.  So we're looking for venues for ceremony and reception in-town, and we're kind of scrambling.  We're on a pretty tight budget - under  $1000 (preferably well under that) for the ceremony site, and under $3000 for a reception for approximately 150 people (venue, food and drink), during a Saturday in August.  I can't change the date because it's really the only time that works for those most important to me (like mom, siblings, and best friends, all of whom are out of town).

All reception venues I've contacted quoted prices well over budget, and there are some ceremony locations that look promising, but most are outside (and I don't have a rain location nor can we set up tents at these places), and I would like to have other options that are nice and inexpensive.  Does anyone have any suggestions for either that would be in our budget and aren't completely tacky?  Ceremony and reception need not be in the same location.  Maybe there are some places I'm not thinking of, I'm totally clueless at this point.  Thanks!

With your budget, I'd highly recommend holding your ceremony and reception at one of Cincinnati's beautiful parks. You could have your ceremony there and a nice heavy-hor dourves (sp?) reception afterwards. I'd recommend Ault Park or Eden Park. Most caterers are willing to work with your budget. GL!

What part of town are you looking for? There is Pattison park on the east side. Last time I looked into it, it was about $500 to rent. They have a gazebo outside and they also have a lodge.

I was going to reccomend this as well! I know it fills up quickly but is beautiful! It's worth a try!

SEM Villa Chapel in Olde Milford is both stunning and a steal ($500 with about half of that returned after cleanup).  And it's a stunning, Art Deco style.  it holds ~200 people.  But it's ceremony only; they don't have reception facilities.  However in that area, there should be several options available (Pattison Park, which was already mentioned above, for example).
