Hello Ladies!
I just realized that I've never done an introduction here, even though I thought I had. I'm sorry I forgot to do this!
Here is some information about my fiance and I. We have been together for 7 years and (finally!) got engaged on NYE.
We're getting married in June 2012 at Praririe Production in the west loop of Chicago. I love the space so, so, so much! It's got two outdoor spaces and three semi-separate spaces inside. It is completely white inside; the biggest space has a lofty feel with a lot of white Chinese lanterns hanging from the ceiling and the south facing "wall" is a floor to ceiling window.
I've also booked my photographer (actually, this was the first thing I booked!) and we're very excited to be working w/ Steve Koo (stevekoophotography.com).
The most recent thing(s) we've done is book our caterer and I've bought my dress.
We're using D'absolute events for our caterer. In addition to catering our wedding, they're also supplying all of our tables, chairs, linens, tabelware, etc, b/c it's an open space, so we have to bring everything in ourselves. The tasting went beautifully and even though we haven't had our wedding yet, I would recommend Natalie and Chris to anyone still looking for a caterer.
My dress is a David's Bridal dress. I acutally got it from Recycled Bride, which is a website where brides re-sell their dresses, veils, shoes, etc. My dress was new w/ tags and never worn and it's supposed to be coming today via fedex. I hope it works out. I've attached a picture of my dress below.
I'm excited to be a part of this board and get to know you ladies.
