Midwest Sound vs Muzic N Motion

These are the two DJ's we are considering right now.  I'm soliciting opinions/experiences about either or both.  One costs more, but provides two DJ's.  The cost difference is about $100.  Any thoughts?

I haven't heard of these two d.j. companies. I had "DJ on the Mix" and they worked wonderful for me. I can't remember how much they cost, but they were professional. The d.j. met with us ahead of time and we discussed what we were expecting the night of as well as our choice of music. There were two d.j.s our event too.
You may want to check them out and compare the prices as well as quality.

I hope this helps and Good Luck!

I just came across "Vendor Review 9/25/2010" and the bride had Midwest Sound. Hope this helps and for a full review of other vendors, look for the post.

DJ: Midwest Sound & Light. F. Our DJ was terrible. Spend the extra few hundred dollars and go with someone better. He was dressed unprofessionally, smelled like cigarettes, mumbled into the microphone and the worst part was he didn't even bring along the song list I spent alot of time putting together.

    Good Luck!

We are using Muzin in Motion and have been very happy working with them so far. They also played at friend's wedding this past summer and did an awesome job. The dance floor was packed all night. Good luck!

We're using Midwest Sound...I've been to three different weddings where they were the DJs and thought they did a great job reading the crowd and keeping the dance floor packed. A friend who got married last October used them, and she loved them.

We just went to a bridal show in Mankato, MN. We saw both Midwest, and Music 'n motion. We are already reserved with midwest. As my Fiancee was walking by music 'n motion the dj there started talking to him, before he could even tell him that we already had a DJ, the guy was starting to write up a contract. When FI finally was  able to tell him that we had a DJ, he got kinda stand-offish, and said well good luck, and just turned away. That kind of struck us as unprofessional. We reserved with midwest sound 6 months ago, and we couldn't be happier.

    just saw this:

DJ: Steve, from Music in Motion      B-
I rated most of my vendors really well, because everything did go surprisingly smooth.  I am rating Steve much lower because we did have some issues with his service.  My husband and I were very particular with our music selection for the whole event.  We wanted a DJ that would not play the typically DJ music and we did not want an MC for the night.  When we signed him for the contract he told us he could play ANYTHING we wanted.  We literally gave him a document with a complete list of songs that would cover his entire time playing the music.  We even sent him a jump-drive with most of the music that we had, so he wouldn't have to download all of the songs.  He did do a great job playing what we wanted during cocktail hour and dinner, but once the dancing started he completely took over the floor and started playing a ton of music we did not want.  We also specifically told him no country, and he even played country.  So if you want a DJ to handle all of the music, he is very good.  But if you have specific style of music you want played, I DON'T RECOMMEND HIM.

We are using Muzic in Motion for our wedding next November.  Several of my friends have used them and have nothing but great things to say.  I think some of you are getting the DJs Muzic in Motion out of Milwaukee confused with Music in Moiton (spelled with a S, not a Z) that is in different parts of the state, which I found when I called the wrong company and could clearly tell it was not the right one after a minute of talking to them on the phone!  I have only seen or heard great things about the Muzic company and got a good deal with them as well when I booked with them at a wedding show, which I know they do a lot.  Hope that helps!
