Photography & Videography Help!

Hello All:

Does anyone know of a photographer  that can work a fairly large cultural wedding for under $1750 and a videographer for under $750? Our total wedding photography and videography budget is $2500 and photos are more important to us than video, but please let me know if you have any recommendations in our price point.  I really appreciate your help and wish you all the best!

    I would try Karen Scruggs for photography.  I think she is one of the better ones at a lower price point.

    JChristopher Films used to be in that range, but I think they have increased their prices (and rightly so -- they are awesome).

    I think Wylie Video has a $750 package, but it might be ceremony only.

    They have increased. My coworker contacted them, and their prices had gone up (and they were booked for her date anyways).
    That being said, I feel like when I got them they were UNDERpriced, and have just now adjusted to their talent-level.

    I am pretty sure whatever is on their site are the updated prices.

    Brooke with Beautiful Evolutions. Most wedding photographers budget for 8 hours, so would your wedding go past that?

    When I was considering video for ceremony only, the cheapest I found was $650 and that was in 2009.

    OP, you may want to consider just putting the whole $2500 towards photography as I am not sure you will find a videographer for $750, certainly not ceremony and reception.

    Oh, agree.  I was very happy for them when they felt they were "established" enough to raise their prices.  Even with the increase they're still one of the best values out there.

    I'm using 2MEProductions for video the lowest package price is $700. They also do photography and may be able to get you a deal in your budget.

    I'm using Stephanie Brazzle for photography and her packages start at $1650 for 6 hours (which includes an engagement session). I absolutely love her.

    On videography, I can't be much help. From what I found, videography is almost always the same as/more than photography for the same quality so you might want to consider shifting a little of your photog budget to your videographer. Just a thought though. :)

    We're getting our pictures done with my fiance's friend who's been doing wedding photography for a few years. We already got our engagements done with him. I really liked working with him. He edits the pictures and gives them to you on a CD (for no extra charge) so you can get them printed where ever for cheaper. He has a couple different packages he offers- you can getting 6 (maybe it was 8) hours wedding day plus either 2 hrs engagements or 2 hrs bridal for $550, or you can get all 3 for $650, and any additional hours is $50.     We just moved from New Orleans to Plano and launched our photography/videography business here. He has been doing photography for the past 8years. He has travelled the world and taken awesome photography. We met on one of his travels to South Africa (thats where I'm from). Since I arrived on a K1 visa in the USA in Nov2010, we had ONE month to plan a wedding! We got married on December 18, 2010 in NOLA and finding a photographer was an absolute nightmare!!!! Most were fully booked and the prices were astronomical!!!! So I've been naggin my hubby to do weddings because (I might be biased) he really has an eye for detail.
