Wedding day timeline

help me please! I have no idea where to start with this! Ceremony is at 3:30 pm and reception is at 6:00pm. They are 10min away from eachother. More importantly I am confused with when to start my morning! My hair is being done at a salon then my makeup at a hotel (15 min away from church)
Any lay out for how you girls did yours would be greatly appreciated!

I would start around 10am. Eat a nice breakfast, shower. Did you talk to the person doing your hair about how long they thought it would take? And when will you be done? Don't forget to factor in makeup! I would leave your hotel at 2:45 just to make sure you get to the church on time and can take some photos of you wherever you are waiting.

I based mine around what time I wanted to have my make up done and what time I needed to be at the church. Everyone else (photog, florist, hair) I filled in after I figure that out.

I agree with the pp and most importantly definitely take time in the morning for just yourself. Even if it is something as simple as doing your morning run. That way you are relaxed as much as possible.

I worked backwards from ceremony start time, which for us was 3:00.
I knew I wanted to be there an hour early, so 2:00.
Takes half an hour to get there, so I have to leave the hotel at 1:30.
I want some time to myself to double check I've packed all of my stuff in my makeup bag, that I have everything I need for the night, so I want to be back to my hotel at 1.
I want to eat lunch, and will probably have lunch with my parents, so I'll allow an hour, so lunch from 12-1.
I want to have my hair and makeup done and they take an hour each, so I set my appts to 10 and 11.
I will probably shower and have breakfast so I'll meet up with my parents for breakfast at 9:30, and hit the shower first, so 9 am.

It's really that simple-just work backwards!

Thanks so much for all of your help! My makeup artist said she wanted to start at 9:30 and at first I thought that was too early but now I think it may be perfect. Although I wanted to have my hair done first... Like all of you said I will work backwards. Ang, if you could send that to me I would greatly appreciate it!!! Thanks!

It didn't seem logical to me either but yeah make-up then hair.

Not sure how DIY your wedding is but if it isn't you may want to make a seperate list for pick up and drop off and arrival for vendors. Our vendors can only arrive 2 hours before the event. Also, check with your site about pick up drop off of things like toasting flutes and favors. Ours have to be dropped off the night before.

Weird, I had my hair done before makeup.

I agree, just work backwards from your first appt.
