Where to bring my wedding dress?

Hi Ladies!

I bought my wedding dress at the Filene's Basement Running of the Brides this summer.  I love it, but I'm starting to stress about where to bring it for alterations and a cleaning. I'd also like to find a place that will store it.  Do you all have any suggestions? Has anyone had this experience before? I live in Baltimore City and my wedding is in Hunt Valley.

    Wow, my sentiments exactly! I also bought a dress at Running of the Brides in D.C. this past April. I had a designer friend of mine agree to do the alterations before I purchased it and now that plan doesn't seem like much of an option anymore but my dress definitely needs some alteration and probably cleaning! At this point I'm wondering if it was worth it, I just want to love my dress! Awaiting to hear if anyone has any suggestions for us!

    Back in the day - 2004 I used Doris Dower from Sew Elegant - she does everything from her home - she altered my dress by one size as I lost weight and it fit perfectly . She also did my bustle and steamed it - She was great
    Her phone is (410) 327-2722 and i believe if you google Sew Elegant ( her company name ) you will see good results . Good luck

    Doris is fantastic, I had her alter a dress I wore to attend a wedding, but she was spot on with detail and got it back to me quickly. And she is very reasonably priced as well.
