So when I was looking for a dj, I wanted someone fun, that could mix music, and would just push buttons on their laptop. I came across LG Entertainment back in the Spring and was so sure I wanted to book them. I read so many great reviews about them, mainly Jonny and Jason. My FI and I met with Lewis Grell, the owner, and became a little skeptical. We mentioned our wedding was in Galveston and he said there were no travel fees. But later, after we told him the hotel the reception would take place, he talked about how much fun he has had there and all of the sudden he needed a hotel room at the same hotel! I get that Houston is about 45 mintues away, but he didnt mention accomodations until after he talked about a crazy spring break at the hotel. We were already going over budget and throwing a $200 hotel in was just too much.
Fortunately...A couple months later, when we were ready to book, I went to a bridal show with my mom and talked to a different dj. Turns out...Jonny and Jason from LG (two of their best djs) left and started their own business! No hotel, no travel fees, and even a more affordable price! Couldn't have worked out better.
Just wanted all Houston brides to be aware! Most of the positive LG reviews that I read (wedding bee and wedding wire) were about Jonnny and Jason...who are not there anymore! btw Lewis is a great dj, too, don't get me wrong! I'm not trying to bash LG, I just don't want anyone to be mislead!
Their new business is Space City Entertainment by the way! Hope that helps anyone looking for a dj!
