I am in Fort Myers and we are getting married at The Burroughs Home downtown...Fi and I both grew up in fla him here and me in Panama City so the last thing we wanted was a beach wedding...Wedding is Oct 8, 2011 and I'm new on here..Any other Burroughs Brides or Oct brides out there??

    Hi Becca!

    I'm in Orlando but definetely getting married in Ft Myers... we're going to look at the Burroughs Home in March when we go down to visit family... I'm in love with it online, lol. Please let me know how you picked the Burroughs, and if there are any other similar venues you think I should look at :)

    We looked all over because I did not want a beach theme..We found this place and I fell in love.  They do have the stipulations and rules that comes with the venues. The coordinator there will go over the history of the place with you and give you a tour.  It's kinda pricey but it's what we wanted and the country clubs can be quite a bit more.  Similar places that I know of is the Edison Ford estates. I've had a friend get married there and the Heitman House. Congrats to you too and Happy planning.
