Favors

So I am having a hollywood/glam themed wedding and have purchased a stamp and repeat banner and a red carpet! I have been thinking about a million things to do for favors but i just keep changing my mind!

I wanted to see what u ladies thought about having some one take pictures of the guest on the red carpet and printing them out an putting them in a frame as a favor? Do you think that can be done by the end of the night so they can take them home with them, or is that reaching for the stars??

I love the idea but maybe u guys can help me pinpoint exactly how to make this run smoothly!

Re: Favors

  • That is a great idea and i think you can buy a photoprinter pretty inexpensive. You would have to find someone to take the pictures, print them and put them in a frame. The only problem is if the printer malfunctions or you run out of ink. I guess you can give the frames out that night (maybe double as escort cards?) and print the photos out later and send them in the thank you notes.

    OR

You could rent a photobooth and someone takes care of all of that for you. Maybe its not on the red carpet but some photobooth may be able to do that. At the least you can have props (boas, hats, sunglesses, maybe even a faux academy award?)

One photographer I met with was starting to offer a sort of photobooth where he just took pictures of each guest / couple in front of a back drop and gave the couple a cd with the images. The guests can't take it home with them but once again the pictures could be sent in the thank yous. Maybe see if your photographer has an assistant that might do it for you? Or call an art school to see if a student would want to do it for free as a portfolio builder?

  • OMG, I love the faux awards!!! My hubs isnt gonna be happy u gave me that IDEA, lol! and I def want to get 2-3 students to take the pics and print! I dont mind buying extra ink(even if i have to go over board and just return what i dont use) and i already have 2 camera printers, and like u said i could always include them if something does go wrong!!!

Thanx Jelybean you got my mind goin now :)
  • What about faux magazine covers? I dont know what your budget is, but how about go to a trophy store and getting all of your RSVP'd guests transparent stars with your name and wedding date as the "Best Guest" award
