Hi ladies! Just got back to work today (yuck! brace yourselves for it when you have to return too) and wanted to let those of you still in the wings in on a little advice. 1. ENJOY yourself. I'm telling you this is the single best advice I can give to you. You have done all the work, done all the planning and it all comes together in the end. 2. Don't fret - don't worry about all the details. You have hired all these professionals to help you out - let them and trust them. 3. Take time to stop/pause and look around you. All these wonderful people in your life have come for you and your husband. Take time to just pause and watch all of them. It will create some lasting mental images that you will love. 4. Have a moment with your family (parents, siblings, whomever you call family). I had a special moment with each of my parents and my sister and I will cherish those talks and moments forever. 5. Finally....don't be in a hurry to get down the aisle. Take the time to let it all sink in and let your future husband see you coming down that aisle to him. It will take his breath away.
Our wedding was one week ago and the only word I have for it is: PERFECTION. Nothing went wrong, the Malibu sun, sand and ocean were magnificant. Beautiful blue skies. My family was amazing and just kept making sure I was relaxed and enjoying myself. I hope your families do the same. Our photographer, DOC and event manager could not believe how relaxed Tim and I were. We just were so happy. My dad and I had a beatutiful moment before walking down the aisle and all I could then focus on was my wonderful HUSBAND!!! The reception went by so quickly but we had so much fun. It was everything we could have hoped for.
I wish each of you already married - only marriage bliss. And for each of you still in the threshholds of planning, take it all in stride. It will be here soon enough and it will be beautiful no matter what.
Time of our lives
