Spring Wedding Venue

Hello everyone! I am looking for a wedding venue for April 2012. I want a location with beautiful grouds but yet a reception hall with high celilings and not too much dark wood inside the ballroom.

I am also trying to work with 110 or under.

Let me know knoties!

Possibly Orange Lawn Tennis Club in South Orange, if you have it on a Friday or Sunday.

Perona Farms = gorgeous. Went to a wedding there a while ago and was blown away by how beautiful the grounds are.

In general, though, I would probably look at country clubs. They usually have some nice outdoor areas.

The PNC Arts Center has a beautiful reception hall and is very reasonably priced.  The caterer is Merri Makers.  I am getting married there in March 2012.  The grounds are very big, but they have a ceremony area that should be filled with blue  hyacinths in the spring if they are bloomed.  Definitely take a look, the price is worth it.

I was actually very close to signing with the PNC Arts Center reception hall.  It's called The Reception Center (if I remember correctly) and you can find it by searching Merri Makers' website.  We didn't sign because while it was gorgeous, it just wasn't exactly what we were looking for.  We spoke with Rose and she was great!  She was really willing to work with our budget.

Sorry... I meant to say the grounds aren't very big.  Sorry for my mistake.  But the venue is still worth looking at.  I don't have any pictures, but here are some on the web-site.  www.merrimakers.com/locations/receptioncenterphotogallery.html
The menus and prices are also listed on the web-site.  As soon as I walked in, I knew this is where I was going to have the reception!  I am so excited, I can't wait!

I'm having my reception at the Rockleigh in April of this year, and they have beautiful grounds, high ceilings, and the colors aren't dark. However, I don't know if 110 is too small of a number - definitely too small for a Saturday night but maybe not for Fridays/Sundays/Saturday day time.

Hi Nikki I saw that you mentioned The English Manor. We just booked it for our 2012 wedding. Did you book them or do you have any advice? I would REALLY appreciate any info. Thanks
