How do you feel about strip clubs? Would you let your DH/FI go to one? Would you go to one?

I am ok with strip clubs. I wouldn't mind if DH went because I know those girls are there to make money, not get it on with a bunch of guys (and if they did DH's such a tightwad he'd never shell out money!). I've been to a few strip clubs. It amazes me how much talent some of the ladies have. I actually saw a girl break the pole from whipping her body around it because she had too much force! See, talent!

Me - I think NOW I'm okay with strip clubs - I really don't care if DH goes - I know he isn't going to be shelling out to much money - they would have to work soooooooo hard and then once they got any money from him they would be pissed at what they got. NOW I would go to one - but before I would never go to one.
I also believe they have A LOT of talent!

I don't really have to worry about that, DH hates those places. He has never gone and honestly I think they are a waste of money. I've been to them maybe a couple times in my life and yeah the were interesting and damn can the girls can work the pole! I hope one day I have my own pole at home lol

I'm not sure how I would feel if DH actually liked strip clubs. I don't think I would feel great knowing my DH likes to go...would that mean your not enough for him?? Unless there are other reasons, but what would those reasons be??? This is a tough one Jagore :P

On one hand, I have a twinge of guilt over supporting sex workers because of the misogyny and other issues that go on in the industry. I've known a few stripeprs in my life and... well, I'm WELL aware my husband wouldn't be attracted to them. But on the other hand - yes, DH is free to go any time and he knows he always has been. He's gone in the past, but not since he met me. I wouldn't be upset about it. In fact, yes, I would go as well.

I'm ok with strip clubs. The times that FI has gone with friends or bach parties I didn't mind at all. I trust him and I know it's all in good fun. I've never been to one, but I've always been curious to see how they are. I wouldn't mind going to one if it was with a group of our friends.

I really don't mind them. I don't care if FI goes. He doesn't have the interest in going. I'm kind of glad. I mean, to each his own, but I think they are kind of a waste of money. And hey...he's got me at home...and me...he can touch. (TMI?) haha I have never been but I wouldn't mind going. I think I'd prefer to go watch girls than guys though...Unless it's one of the comedy strip shows or something.

I've been to quite a few and have no problem with them. He jokes about a bachelor party in Montreal and I really don't care.

I once got into a fight with a stripper who was sitting on my lap at the time...long story but anyway...............

I've personally have never been to a strip club, and I know that the FI has, multiple times. I dont have a problem with it at all, if the opportunity came up, why not!

Honestly, the concept of a strip club is what bothers me more than FI going to one if that makes sense. Like Msmerymac, I have issues with perpetuating sex work and the mistreatment and exploitation of women that goes along with it. The whole concept just kind of makes me sad.

FI has been before in a social setting (a bachelor party and with coworkers), but not while we've been together. If he wanted to go, it wouldn't bother me in that I would be worried he would cheat on me, but it would bother me that he could detach enough to be titillated by these women as pure sex objects devoid thoughts or feelings.

And yeah, I'm not going to lie, pole dancing can be pretty dang impressive! But it's not like the men ogling them are thinking, "wow. her pole technique is A+." They're there to see her shake her ta tas (or more).
