CAKE HELP NEEDED PLEASE

HI!
We have begun starting our hunt for a cake and would love the help of fellow knotties.
We want a reasonable prices wedding cake (we have a dessert and a sweet table, the cake is more of an aesthetic tradition for us) and they have to deliver.
Our wedding is in Mississauga. Does anyone have any reccomendations?

    My cake is being made by The Caketress, www.thecaketress.ca/  - she does amazing haute couture cakes, the prices are a bit steep but the quality is amazing.

    I found Dufflet Cakes to be pretty reasonably priced. They may charge a little extra to deliver to Mississauga though.

    Don't forget, if you also have other desserts, you can save money by ordering cake for only 50-60% of your guests. What I liked about Dufflet is that they offered the option to have buttercream only for most of their cakes, which is cheaper than fondant.

    We are having a wedding in Toronto but our cake girl is from Mississauga.  Her name is Daniela Mier and she is so sweet.  She is very helpful and right now works out of her house (she has a huge bakery in her basement).  She is working to get her own shop but does amazing work!  She has way more pictures than on her site, and she will reproduce any cake you bring a picture of!  http://www.cakensdesigner.com/index.html

    We got our cake at Lakeview Pastry in Burlington (link) and it was very reasonably priced.  We saved the delivery fee by picking it up ourselves, so if you've got extra (careful) hands available, that might be an option.  The cake was really delicious too.

    Hi there! I know I haven't posted alot on this board, but i do have an awesome cake suggestion! Her name is Natalie Atell, she is starting her business in Toronto and I have ordered my cake from her! you can check out her facebook page.. just search Ache For Cake. Our 4 Tiered cake... gorgeously decorated is only going to cost us 300$ !!!!

    We went with The Wedding Cake Shoppe and they were awesome, they even did a custom Nutella filing for us! They were reasonable priced and easy to work with it. Plus it didn't hurt that I would eat their cupcakes every time I went there.

    "I do wedding cakes" is awesome, great prices and the cakes taste amazing!!!

    I second Ache for Cake!

    She's my MOH's sister so I'm biased but she's done AMAZING things and for very decent prices!

    So glad you chose her lipshtix!!

    i'm getting a fake cake b/c we too have desserts and a candy table so the cake is beautiful but one slice is real so we can cut it and eat that one peice :) we're using Sweet n Lovely Creations, dont know how much they would charge to deliver as they are located in Peterborough :)

    Thanks guys! I was actually going to post a wedding cake help topic but fortuantely I was able to find this one! I am going ot contact ache for cake because we are on a tight budget and this person seems like they can meet it as per lipshtix post. I will also keep my eyes open on thisd post in case any other cost efficient cake decorators referrals come in! Thanks everyone for supporting everyone!
