And then I found it. Holllllllllllllllllly shite that was the worst hour of my life. I got a manicure on my lunch break, and had put three rings in my jeans pocket. I didn't want to reach into my pocket and ruin my nails immediately (ugh!) so I drove back to work. As I was getting out of the car, I reached in my pocket to put my rings back on, and only my right hand ring and my e-ring were there! AAAAAAACK! Looked all through my car, drove BACK to the salon, looked in the parking lot there, the chair I was in.....nothing. Called my husband in a panic. He was very reassuring actually. I got back to work and noticed a coworker had parked in the spot I was in, so I looked under her car, looked in the grass and the sidewalk all the way back to the lab. Nothing.
So I was completely dejected when another coworker said "Why don't we ask her to move her car and we'll scour the whole area." Went the coworker #2's office to ask her to move, and SAW MY RING! She found it and was about to email the whole building about it!!! I nearly cried and couldn't stop hugging her. Sigh. Lesson learned!! Ugh, what a horrible experience.
