Shop for them like it's their birthday.  I would just walk around Toys R Us and see what toys catch your eye.

I got ADORABLE Ring Bearer and Flower Girl duffle bags from Oriental Trading. I filled them with beach towels, crocs, Coloring Books and crayons. And in my flower girls I put a "I want to be a bride barbie" and for my nephew a how to train your dragon action toy. they loved it and it kept them quiet :o)

I know that people have gone the build-a-bear route before, getting clothes that are either bride or groom. We're doing something similar: my flowergirl has one of those fake American Girl dolls, and my ring bearer has a build-a-bear, so my mom and grandmother are making clothes for them. We're making a flowergirl/bride outfit for my flowergirl (complete with veil!), and my ringbearer is getting a yellow vest for his bear that matches the one he'll be wearing. We're making a little ring bearer pillow, too. :-)

This is what we did and I highly recommend it!  Kids that little don't appreciate the sentiment you put into the gift.  They will be thrilled to get a toy or game!  I got my flower girl (8) a rock tumbler and a Zsu Zsu pet and my ring bearer (4) got a spiderman car and a spider man stuffed toy.  It made them happy and that was all I cared about.
