Just ordered my dress yesterday from Davids Bridal can't wait for it to come in!!

I think i found the dj I really liked him and he came highly recommended! Gota research prices. We live in Iowa, about 13000 people. He wants 675 for 5 hours is that bad or good, anyone know?

I'd think it's reasonable. It does depend on area to area.

What does the price include? Find out what it would cost for overtime as well.

We are paying about 1400 for our DJ with an hour of overtime for a total of 10 hrs I believe.

Seems fairly reasonable. Ours is 695 for 7 hours.

Well our reception is 611 and we have to.be out by midnight so the time is perfect i know he said it includes the light show and he sends a sheet out for requested music/announcements. And meets to discuss but were doing a destination wedding so i don't think we are having a bridal party. Should it include anything else?

Ours is $750 for 4 hours, plus any over time that may occur. We're in a much more expensive area than Iowa though. Have you checked with your local board?

It's different everywhere, but as far as here in MN- that's pretty standard.

Ours was about 895 for 5 hrs plus 200 per hr of OT plus additional 250 for ceremony music. Eta where I am that was average pricing and we met with our DJ he was awesome in the meeting alone.

Ugh, I hate seeing prices from the mid-west

I''m using a SUPER cheep option for the DJ...at $800 and a bit of a travel fee, he is charging about 1/2 what most DJs in CT charge! Everything is double here. I think NY would be even worse.

TOTALLY agree. I'm in PA, and we're paying about 1300 for a DJ for 5 hours with extra remote speakers. He was even a step down from the 1800 guy I really wanted. Cheapest I could find was around 900 and they were definitely a cheesy option. Sigh.
