Have you seen these paper holder thingies??

LOL! I don't know what you call them -- table number holders?? Anyhoo, I really like them. If you've seen anything similar (it looks like a person with a hat, I think), please let me know.

Thanks!

  • Those are absolutely adorable. I have no idea where you could get those, sorry. I've always loved antique fork placecard holders though.... they're also a in the same sort of whimsical metal category, yeah?

[QUOTE]I think it's a cowboy with a lasso. I'll let you know if I come across anything like that.

Ah ha! Cowboy with a lasso. Good eye! I kept thinking it looks like some getup a friend of mine (who owns a ranch) would wear. And of course, now that you've written that it is obvious. LOL! Thank you very much ... for the answer and for keeping an eye out.

Oh my goodness! How cute are those?? What a delightful idea. I have visions of impaling myself, if not on the needle-nosed pliers on the forks themselves, if I were to take on this kind of project. I'm sure there is someone who gets paid to do stuff like this (and take on the danger ... hee hee).

I like the recyclart website. I foresee much lusting over there. Thank you, thank you!
  • Those forks are SO Cool!! And what an easy project-- Maybe even just for displaying the names of foods on your food table (if you didn't want to go all out for each guest) -- But what a neat party favor, and it would cost you next to NOTHING if you got all of your forks at good will!! .... I think I have a new favorite DIY project that I'm going to start! :)

You're braver than I. I can just see hurting myself trying to get that done. Heck, I cut myself when I slice tomatoes ... LOL! If you decide to do it, please post pics. I'd love to see them.

That's definitely a cowboy or girl with a lasso! If you know anybody in Nashville or Texas, you might want to ask them to keep their eyes open in the shops, there.

Oh, and a lot of sellers do seem to call those things "place card holders." (In case that helps you search for them.)
  • Done & Done!!! :) I posted pics :)
