Maui or Kauai for honeymoon?

My fiance and I can't decide whether to do Maui or Kauai for our honeymoon?  If we choose Maui, should we pick Wailea or Kaanapali or Lahaina?  We are looking for relaxation, nice hotel, good restaurants and some activities (hikes, snorkeling, etc.).  Any recommendations would be great, thanks!

    I've never been to Kauai, but on Maui... Lahaina is like a mini Waikiki, It has all the touristy places like shops, restaurants, and tons of hotels/resorts.

    I haven't been to Kauai, but we stayed in Kaanapali and I personally loved it. We did do lots of travelling around Maui still, including Lahaina, but we really loved the hotels and restaurants and beach in the Kaanapali resort area. But it really depends on what you're looking for.

    My parents honeymooned in Hawaii, island hopped and ended up moving to Kauai. So it must be nice! Unfortunately they moved right before I was born, so I do not have first hand experience. They always told me that Kauai is just much more relaxed and less touristy.

    I have a friend who lived in Hawaii for a while and she said to go to Kauai, but it was more expensive than Maui, so we are going to Maui.
