Has anyone used the olay skincare line?

So of course my wedding day falls on the same day (give or take) that my period comes to visit.  I am going to be skipping my period over July and August by just starting a new pack but I am concerned that I am still going to break out like I do the week of.

I am interested in starting a new skincare regimen as I have tried Proactiv - which doesn't work well for my sensitive skin as it's too drying, I have also tried some Neutrogena but that does not do much either. I just get the usual ocassional breakouts around my mouth area which of course are not welcome on my big day.

Has anyone tried the Olay line? Any recommendations on where to start with sensitive skin?

  • I generally have clear skin, but break out around my period like you do. I've found that, unfortunately, no "acne" related regimens have fixed the problem. What I have found, however, is that if I avoid lots of sugar and fatty foods and drink a TON of water the couple weeks before my period it makes a world of difference. Also, I wash my face in the evening with Aveeno positively radiant (they have one specifically for sensitive skin) and I use the moisturizer in the morning before putting on my makeup. I love the product and it lasts a long time.

  • I agree with csweaney...I actually had been using Olay for a while but my skin somehow became immune to it. It stopped working :/  Now I use Aveeno day and night. The positively radiant collection is great for evening skintone, but they also have the clear complexion line for breakouts that would be worth a shot. All of their products are very natural, and that seems to work best with my skin.
  • I use to use their Complete line when I was younger, but now I use their Regenerist line.  I love both.  The complete line is for sensitive skin.  The Regenerist line has peptides in it, which is great for anti-aging.  I have Lupus which gives me sensitive skin, so it should work for you too.  However, I don't know if its such a good idea to switch to a new regiment since your wedding is soon.
  • Thanks everyone!!!
