Videography Style

I am looking for a videographer and I've been watching a ton of sample videos (including those on the recommended vendors list) and am having trouble finding something that fits my style.  I'm looking to spend under $2000, on a videographer with a very natural/candid style.  I want it to be more fun/whimsical rather than serious/sentimental.  I don't like it when there is a lot of zooming in where it just looks like you might as well have just taken a picture.

Does anyone have recommendations on who might be a good fit?  Thanks in advance!

Re: Videography Style

  • We are using Candace Pieto with Pittsburgh Wedding DVD. Not sure if she will fit them exact style you are looking for, but we were very impressed with her sample and it wasn't too serious/sentimental/cheesy at all - and she is within your price range. HTH.

  • Hey Lindsay! I looked at Pgh Wedding DVDs samples and I do like them... It is much closer to my style than what I've seen so far and I'll keep them in mind during my hunt :-) I found out there's an actual word for what I'm talking about... Cinematography! But the 2 companies I found with this style are over 3000 so it might just end up being something I'll have to skip in order to have the other things I want. But now that I actually know what I'm talking about lol... Anyone know of any wedding cinematographers under 2000? Thanks!
  •  We LOVED our videographer, Matthew Mastroianni. I'm pretty sure that he can do whatever style you'd like, and he's a very nice person. He has three different packaages you can choose from, too.
