Cake Topper for 1 tier?

We are only having a 1 tier cake because we are getting married at a resort with a very small guest list. Do we need to worry about a cake topper?

We originally wanted 2 penguins we found on etsy but with the flights to and from, we're worried they'll break and may look goofy on such a small cake.

    You could just do some flowers instead of a topper.

    For a 1 tier cake you dont need to do a topper. You can have a very simple classy looking cake with just a few flowers on the top edge. Honestly in my opionion a topper on a 1 tier cake will look silly and more birthday cakeish then wedding cakeish.
