Tipping at Reception

Does anyone know if youre supposed to tip the staff at the reception if it includes the 18% adminfee in addition to the tax? Theres nothing in our contract regarding tipping or what the 18% applies to. Our contact at our reception was a little coy on the subject, saying it was not needed but always appreciated. Just looking to see what everyone has done/planning on doing. Thanks!!

They'll never come out and tell you you have to tip. And you don't! But we agreed ahead of time we would if everything went smoothely. At the end of the night, we left a few hundred dollars for the head to spread among the staff. We also tipped extra to our DJ who was AWESOME.

Our gratuity with the staff was included in our pricing on the contract.  I am pretty positive the head person gets a chunk of that as well.

That 18% is gratuity for the staff most times.  We included an extra tip for the "personal" servers at our sweetheart table.
