Rick's Bakery LLC, Milwaukee

Good morning all!  This is my first post, so please forgive an errors!

I just wondered if anyone had an experience with Rick's Bakery?  It's small and run out of a home and while the pricing is fab and the service and quality appear to be great (the tasting was great), my FI is apprehensive about using them because the don't have a storefront.

I'm planning to ask the owner for a recent bride's name, so I can maybe call her and ask if she was satisfied, but I also thought I may reach more people here.

Thanks in advance for any answers!

We had a tasting with them.  The cake was delicious and buttercream was not very sweet which I LOVED about them.  The price was amazing and everything was included - delivery, set up and supplies needed to set up.  Sandy was very nice and willing to work with our ideas.  We probably would've gone with Rick's Bakery if we didn't win a free cake. :)

FI and I actually decided against Rick's Bakery when we tasted the cake again the second day. We thought it was pretty good the day of and were pretty much sold, but the frosting congealed overnight and the cake was inedible the second day.

I know 90% of the cake will get eaten on the wedding day, but what about your anniversary cake?

We went with Little Slice of Heaven in Oconomowoc. Once I had that piece of cake, I knew saying no to Rick's was the right thing to do.

That's odd.  We got the cakes to take home after the tasting as well and fed them to other and it was still good 2 days later.  Maybe she's fixed that issue.

Thank you for letting me know your concerns though.
