Chicago South Suburb Reception Halls - HELP!

My fiance and I currently have a contract with a reception hall in Northwest Indiana....they are HORRIBLE!  We have been having nothing but problems with them since we signed the contract.  Thankfully, we have not put very much money down, and are still willing to switch reception halls.  We are getting married at the beginning on July and do not know where to start looking.  We are getting married in the south suburbs of Chicago.  We want a "country" feel to our wedding...any suggestions?  We are desperate!!!

The first thing that pops in my head for a "country" feel is CD & Me in Frankfort. I haven't been there, but I have heard about it. Just a suggestion!

Knowing your budget and guest list number would help us help you :)

Also, when you say "country vibe" are you thinking outdoors?  So you definitely don't want a hotel banquet hall or something like that?

I was going to look into CD&Me, but it is already booked for the night :(  We are expecting around 225 guests, and probably around $60-$70 per plate.  Thank you for any suggestions!

Also, we are hoping for an indoor, rustic feel.  Our centerpieces are mason jars and lanterns, if that helps...

You could check out country clubs.  Or the Morton Arboretum.  Or the Narnia Estate in Lemont.  Or Horticulture Center in Pilcher Park in Joliet.  There are a few barns, but they are more to the northwest.

Hmmm The Narnia Estate isn't rustic - Cocktails are served in the home itself and dinner and dancing is in the tent attached to the house.  The grounds are gorgeous but it is pricey.

Although not in the south suburbs, Hoosier Grove Barn in Streamwood is definitely a rustic place.

The Belvedere Chateau, if I remember correctly, has a rustic room with a really cool fireplace and I think trees or a tree in the room...it's interesting.

    Hope that helps some!

Our room at the Willaim Tell has a fireplace and exposed brick.

I'm booked at Belvedere Chateau for my fall wedding...highly suggested with the beautiful tree on the dance floor and you can create a rustic feel of just about any place with enough accessories!

You can look into the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet. Even though it's not exactly country, you can most definitely decorate to fit the theme!

I am looking at NWI reception halls at the moment and also struggling to find a unique spot. Can I ask what hall you are having the problems with??
