Does anyone know where I can buy mini jars of Apple Butter for my fall wedding? I've tired looking everywhere on the internet and am coming up empty handed!! HELP?? Or any ideas?
This would be something really easy to DIY. I can send you a recipe if you'd like. Have you tried you local farmer's market? They usually have apple butters in cute little jars. You could ask them for a discount since you have to buy so many.
I am looking for the same thing!! Its such a great idea. I would DIY it but I have never made it before and am wondering if it is hard to make and can?
C&P my answer from another thread on this topic recently:
I make apple butter. It takes about 24 hours from step one to ready-to-eat for a yield of 6 pints. You have to wash, cook, smash to remove peels (better wehn cooked w/ peels on) then cook in the slow cooker for 8 hours. After that, then you can them which doesn't take too long but then the jars have to sit overnight. I don't mind doing it every now and then (my FIL loves apple butter) but there's no way I would tackle that for favors.

Any recipes and tips would be helpful.
