Flooding?

Does anyone else have a flooded basement?  I had 3 inches in mine today.

Oh no sorry to hear that. No water in our house but the roads all around our house are horrible. This weather is killing me. I hope you got it out and no more finds its way in.

wow that stinks!!!  My apartment basement is flooded a bit as well, and the parking lot has seriously like 8 inches spanning about 10 feet.  There was a sink-hole that has now turned into a small pond!

My house is good  but just got a call that my work is flooded. I work in the basement of our office building and it now has over two inches of water. It is going to be crazy trying to clean that all up tomorrow. ugh.

I'm still stuck at work :( No text from FI saying we have a flooded house...definitely the worst rain we've seen since we moved in 2 1/2 months ago so fingers crossed our house survived it.

We don't have a basement, so there isn't any flooding.  However, I was supposed to meet with a florist last night and she called to cancel because her parents baseement was flooding.  That poor family.  :(

Megan, that sucks! I hope it's not too bad to get fixed! No flooding for us. This storm reminded me of the big storm we had last year. I was driving on Woodward and all of a sudden water started bubbling up from the drains! I now heed the flash flood warnings!

We were able to get most of the water up with shop vacs and then mops.  Currently every fan that my ILs own, my parents own, and we own are around the basement.  This weekend I'll also clean everything to hopefully avoid getting mold.  No real damage though, we just have to throw out some things in the pantry that were on the bottom shelf, do some extra laundry, throw some rugs away, and dry out a computer.

    omg yikes, that sucks :(
thankfully, we also have a crawl space so no flooding (although every other day of the year i complain about wanting a basement lol)... i did notice my livingroom area rug a little damp, i'm assuming our livingroom window leaked a little (it's SUPER old) .. but i was dying sick in bed all day so said F-it until today :)

i was just watching the news and in redford township they got so much rain/flooding that it was past their mailboxes on the street and a car was floating in the flooded water!!

Sorry to hear that!  That really stinks!

FSIL's basement flooded.  I was over there all night helping with the clean-up.  She has a finished basement, so she lost a lot of valuable items (electronics, workout equipment, couches, etc.).

I think I heard on the news we got over 5 inches of rain yesterday.... crazy!
