Has there been anything so far in your planning that has changed completely from what you thought you'd have in the beginning?

For me it's the dress. I started out wanting a plain and simple strapless dress with a corset top and a splash of color. I ended up getting a cap sleeved dress with a lacy bodice and tons of beading and small adorable buttons running down the back. Totally never would have imagined myself in it.

    Everything! We were going to have a destination wedding..family wasn't happy about it...drama over kill and now are back to a small family backyard ceremony here. Still not sure and getting tired of all this.

    The dress and colors.  I thought I wanted a very simple strapless, A-line gown with a bright blue sash.  That completely went out the window the moment I put it on, it looked so blah on me.  Using blue went out the window at that same moment.

    My venue.  I originally wanted to do a small beach wedding with only family and close friends.  FI wasn't crazy about that idea, so now we're doing a larger more formal wedding in the city.  I am loving the planning process (and love my venue), but deep down kind of still wish I could be barefoot on the beach.  At least we're going away to St. Lucia for our honeymoon!

    The date. I waited to ensure that we agreed on the date prior to beginning the process. Then my FI (lives out of state) calls and asks for one 'little change'. He wanted to push the wedding date back five months. After many colorful words I decided it best to change the date. Didn't want to risk him not showing up or being very angry during the process. His rationale for the change made plenty of sense. However, he's going to have to take me some place really special on the weekend of original date.
