Wedding Woes

Good morning!

Did everyone have a good weekend?

Ours was great.  Saturday we went to my sister's to celebrate my mom's 65th, my niece's 10th, niece's 6th,and  brother's 42nd.  We played water games, ate some awesome BBQ, opened lots of gifts and overall had a good time.

Sunday was my sweet girl's baptism.  6let stayed home with FIL during Mass and was an angel.  M2 was quiet as a mouse during Mass.  She cried all through the baptism part though.  My brothers were the sweetest godfathers ever.

I had a caterer so when we walked in the door from church the food was hot and ready to go.  The weather was perfect so we threw open the french doors between the dining room and screened in porch and we could all be together.  The kids ran and played.  6let couldn't have been any happier even if he didn't have a clue what the others were really playing.  He was so worn out he was in bed by 715 and slept unitl after 6.

    Oh 6, she's absolutely gorgeous.

Saturday was a fun trip to the recycling center, farmer's market and running/walking 3 miles.

Sometime during the running, I sprained my foot.  I didn't notice until the pain woke me up at 4:30 am on Sunday and I couldn't get back to sleep.  Went to Urgent Care.  I really liked the doctor.  He came in and said, "Good news, no fractures, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt like hell."  Basically ibuprofen, icing and baby through it, 1-2 weeks.  I'm kinda bummed, I was enjoying this running program:  http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/5k-run/SM00061

So, Sunday I sat around with my foot wrapped and propped up.  Not the most exciting day.

    Thanks V.  We like her.

Bummer about the ankke.  I hope it gets better soon.  I want to start jogging but don't have the stroller or neighborhood for it.  So, I stick to walkng and pushing 75 lbs.

Nothing exciting happened on my end.  Hung out with my friend, purged over 40 pairs of panties and 8 bras, restocked at VS with a gift card, and deep-cleaned the house.

This week should be nice and quiet...  ::fingers crossed::

    Aw
    and boo on sprains.

I spent yesterday fighting a migraine all day so Buffy slept on my chest and I laid on the couch in a darkened room, refusing to move, watching (okay, eyes closed, listening to) fluffy old netflix.  And drinking copious amts of caffine.

She is a doll!  The gown is beautiful. I'm glad it worked out for you to use it and that everything went so well on Sunday.

I spent the weekend feeling guilty that I wansn't with my BFF while she is going through everything after her mother's passing and working furiously to get house and volunteer stuff done so that I can leave tomorrow and stay with her for a week.  My plan all hinges on a new toner cartridge arriving today for the volunteer work.  If I can't get over there and get everything printed tonight I don't know what I'll do.

    6, she's so cute.  And serene.  :)

My weekend was blah.  Still not running, but hopped on the bike for 30 miles and thought my bagina was going to fall off at about 13 miles, but luckily (??) I had to turn around to go home, so I didn't have a choice.  I ran errands with H, ate at a great new buffet (and I hate buffets) and tried to find a dress for my bday.  No luck, but I will be looking again this weekend.

Youngest SIL stayed with us Saturday night, we had some great pizza and then Sunday was pretty normal.  Met the whole family out at a BBQ roundup event and drank 3 tall boys...oops.  Sunday drunkday.  Had some DQ to round it all off.  No sugar/low sugar for the next 6 weeks will make for a svelte O-face so I'm starting that business today.

Wow...that was a lot of typing.

6, she's beautiful!  So glad it all went well.

My weekend was uneventful except for the giant limb that fell off a sweetgum tree into the back yard (fortunately missing the house and a/c unit).

I spent all weekend in the house. I didn't leave once.

I did some shopping Friday afternoon and that was nice.

Saturday and Sunday I worked and did housework and watched TV and ate food that H had made for me before he went to work. It was glorious. I got over 40 pages written, too :)

Thanks.  Sadly because printing involves a computer the other old ladies start to cry at the thought of doing it and I really don't want to clean up the mess that would result if I begged one of them to do it.

M2 looks so pretty! congrats to her!

Wolverine screamed through her whole baptism too.

We went to the aquarium on Saturday and met with my mom's group for lunch. it was a lot of fun and Wolverine loved seeing the fish and white tiger. (I think the tiger reminded her of Rogue)

After we got home from the aquarium, Wolverine felt really warm, but i chalked it up to being outside/in the carseat - especially when she felt cooler after a nap. When we went to bed, she started screaming, and felt like she was burning up, so took her temp, and was almost 103. Called the pedi's office to see if they wanted us to take her to urgent care/ER or just give her a cool bath/tylenol/bottle and put her back in bed. They said the latter, so that's what we did.

She still had a fever on Sun so we just stayed in and tried to make her more comfortable.

It's still up a little this morning (around 100), so I'm waiting for a call to come pick her up from daycare if it rises when the tylenol wears off. Poor kid is uncomfortable, but fortunately has no other symptoms.

    oh 6.  what a beauty!

i did some shopping on friday.  saturday we ran errands.  on sunday dh and i got into a super awesome argument, which resulted in us actually resolving another issue we were all worried about, so it worked out fine.

this morning, dh woke me up, and i said "yay, sunday!"  dh said, "... no.  it's monday."  me so sad.  so sad.
